Device Stats
See how your audience actually browses.
Device stats show you which browsers, operating systems, and device types your clicks come from. Understanding your audience’s setup helps you optimize landing pages, content, and campaigns for the way people actually browse.
It is all collected privately — no fingerprinting, no personal profiles — and surfaced as clean breakdowns per link and across your account.
What you get
- Browser and operating system breakdowns
- Mobile vs desktop vs tablet split
- Location recorded per click, available via the API
- Per-link and account-wide views
Optimize for how people really click
If most of your clicks come from mobile, a destination page that only looks good on desktop is costing you conversions. Device stats remove the guesswork: you can see the exact split between mobile, desktop, and tablet for any link, and tailor your pages accordingly.
Browser and OS breakdowns help you catch compatibility issues and understand your audience — for example, whether they skew toward iOS or Android, Chrome or Safari.
Geography without surveillance
FIFO records the country, region, and city our CDN reports for each click. The location comes from the CDN rather than from any lookup we perform on the visitor, and it is never joined to a profile that follows someone between sites.
Geography is available today through the API and in your exported click data. The dashboard currently charts device, browser, and operating system; a location breakdown in the interface is on the roadmap.
Perfect for
- Optimizing landing pages for mobile-heavy audiences
- Understanding which regions a campaign reaches
- Spotting browser or OS compatibility issues
- Tailoring content to your audience’s devices
Frequently asked questions
- What device information does FIFO show?
- FIFO breaks down clicks by device type (mobile, desktop, tablet), browser, and operating system — for each link and across your whole account. Location is recorded on every click and is available through the API, though it does not yet appear as a breakdown in the dashboard.
- Is device data collected privately?
- Device and geography breakdowns are aggregated from the request itself — FIFO does not fingerprint browsers or set cookies. The visitor’s IP address is recorded with the click, because a redirect cannot happen without one, and is used to tell automated traffic from real people. Within an hour the address is truncated to its network prefix, so what remains identifies a network rather than a person.
- Is device tracking available on the free plan?
- Yes — device and browser stats are included on every plan, as is the click-by-click activity view. Paid plans add API access for pulling the same data into your own tools.
